The Indianola School Board meets in regular session this evening, setting a special meeting to appoint a board member after the resignation of Rob Keller, who is moving out of state.
Per board policy, the board will appoint an individual to fill the position until the next regular election, which will take place in November. During that election, the vacated position will appear on the ballot and the individual elected to fill the vacated position will be elected for the next two years.
The board will also consider the instructional leadership for the coming school year for staff members, a bid to replace the district phone system, 2025-26 meal prices, and the acceptance of the 2024 audit. After the meeting, the board will meet in a work session to conduct board member training with the Iowa Association of School Boards. The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the boardroom of the District Administration Building.
