
Both Twin Cedars Summer Squads fell in Bluegrass Conference games to Moravia. Softball lost 8-2 while Baseball fell to 9-4. The game started fast for both teams as Twin Cedars held a 3-2 lead after one inning of play. Braxton Davis went 2/4 to lead the Sabers offensively. Kaden Kloster took the loss going four innings allowing three hits and striking out four. The softball squad had only six hits. The Sabers got one run in the first on an RBI single by Alli Reed. Moravia responded for one in the bottom and then scored in five of the next six innings including a big three run 6th inning to seal the deal. Reed was 2/4 with two driven in. Ami Mockenhaupt took the loss, going four complete with five strikeouts. Baseball will host Cardinal tonight while softball hits the road to arch-rival Melcher-Dallas tonight.
