A groundbreaking ceremony has been scheduled to celebrate the beginning of construction of an indoor recreation facility and aquatic center in the City of Pella. An event will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 10 a.m. at the Pella Sports Park at 393 Baseline Drive. The ceremony comes after multiple Pella City Council meetings have been held regarding the project in the past few months, which included unanimous approval of the $35 million facility that will include four gymnasiums, indoor competition and recreational pools, and other amenities. The event is open to the public.
