
The Indianola softball team won their third game in a row Tuesday evening, 8-3 over Ballard in a non-conference matchup. The Indians plated five runs in the first inning, getting RBI hits from Sully Downey and Ava Tichy, with Alexa Guyer earning an RBI groundout. The Indians got another run in each of the second and third innings with an RBI groundout from Sam Gripp and a sacrifice fly from Tichy to lead 7-1, then another in the sixth on a solo homerun by Tessa Gripp. Tichy got the win in the circle.
The Indians are now 6-5 on the season, and will travel to Pella Christian this evening for a doubleheader. Game two of the matchup will be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner on the call. Pregame coverage begins at approximately 7pm.
