
The PCM baseball and softball teams defeated Perry in Heart of Iowa Conference matchups Tuesday night.
The #4 ranked Mustang softball team picked up an 11-1 win over the Jayettes in four innings. Rylee Parsons pitched all four innings giving up five hits, one run, and recorded five strikeouts. Addison Steenhoek, Libby Winters, and Addi Hudnut all had two hits in the contest as Steenhoek had a double and RBI, Winters recorded a triple and an RBI, and Hudnut had two RBI. Tori Lindsay also went 1-1 in the game with a walk, RBI, and stolen base. The PCM softball team improves to 9-1 on the season.
The Mustang baseball team picked up a 13-3 win over the Blujays in six innings. Carson Hansen was the winning pitcher throwing 3 ⅔ innings giving up two hits and three runs while recording five strikeouts. Trigg Steenhoek and Shay Burns both came into the game in relief just giving up one hit combined. Konnor Bell had a big night at the plate going 3-4 in the contest as Coby DeRaad and Alex Wendt both had two hit games. Steenhoek went 1-4 in the game with four RBI and two stolen bases. The PCM baseball team improves to 3-5 on the season.
The PCM baseball and softball teams will be back in action tonight against West Marshall.
