
Two Pella FFA teams earned state championships this week. The Horse Judging Team of Katelyn Meyer, Abbey Votava, Lyndon Norton and Caitlyn Cronin competed at the state contest held at Kirkwood Community College and earned 1st overall. The group also received the Problem Solving and Reasons/Questions Top Team honors. Meyer tied for first place as an individual overall. The vet science team of Cronin, Norton, Kia Lehman, and Caiden Tuel also won 1st place and earned a gold rating with the opportunity to compete at FFA Nationals. Additionally, Anna German, McKenna Salvador, and Peyton Donielson competed in floriculture and received a bronze rating.
