twin-cedars-4

The Twin Cedars Softball Squad fell to arch-rival Melcher-Dallas six-to-five while baseball fell hard to Cardinal 14-0. The Sabers got the scoring started in the top of the first with a lead-off triple by Khloe French. French would score on an RBI bunt single by Alli Reed. Melcher-Dallas would add one in the bottom of the 2nd, and the Sabers would counter with a run in the top of the 3rd with an RBI double by Ami Mockenhaupt. Twin Cedars would seemingly take control in the 5th inning on three runs to extend their lead to 5-1 on a double by Cristen Durian and a two RBI single again by Mockenhaupt. But a big inning by Melcher-Dallas that included a home run in the 4th and another in the 5th brought the Saints back. The Saber baseball squad was held to two hits by Cardinal pitching and everyone was sent home early due to the run rule. Brock Micetich got both of the Sabers hits. Holden Roberts took the loss. Both Twin Cedars squads are off until Friday when they travel to Seymour.
