
Both Twin Cedars Summer Squads were in action on Saturday as the Baseball Squad played two games and the softball squad went to BGM. Baseball split two games winning over Mormon Trail 17-6 and losing to arch rival Melcher-Dallas 3-2. In game one Braxton Davis and Kaden Kloster combined for six hits to power the Sabers offense led by Matthew Fay with three RBI. Kash Klobnak got the win going five innings and striking out six. In game two, the Sabers allowed three runs in the 3rd by Melcher-Dallas, but almost came back . The Sabers held the Saints to just one hit but issued five walks and three hit batsmen. Kloster took the loss going 2 1/3 innings. The softball squad played shorthanded without two starters and went 0-2 to East Marshall and BGM by identical 11-3 scores. Ami Mockenhaupt went 3/3 with two RBI, she also took the loss striking out two. In game two, Ashtyn Fee and Kennedi Ford got two hits each while Mockenhaupt also took the loss.
