The Knoxville Softball Squad allowed two big innings and could not overcome Davis County on Monday night 15-8 in a game called in the 5th inning due to weather. The Mustangs put up five runs in the 1st inning and then put up six runs in the 4th to jump on top 12-1, but the Panthers rallied for six of their own in the bottom of the 4th to put the lead to 12-7. But three more in the top of the 5th put the game out of reach for Knoxville. Free passes were Knoxville’s undoing with five errors and nine walks. Offensively for the Panthers Jordyn Counts went 2/4 with four RBI. Addy Dunkin, Macy Cox, and Iselynn Prevo also had two hits, each. The Panthers are set to travel to Pella tonight, a game you can hear live on 95.3 KNIA.
