The Pella Christian Clay Target Team competed at multiple State Championship events over the last two weeks and continued their tradition of success. The Eagles started state competitions with two team championships and an individual first place finish at State trap, before adding four more team State Championships and six individual first place finishes at the Iowa Varsity and Junior Varsity Sporting Clays State Championships.

State Trap Championships

Intermediate/Entry Division:

  • Team Champions – Breck Six, Grady Uitermarkt, Haddie Dykstra, Caden Uitermarkt, Brighton Mass
  • 1st Place Ladies – Haddie Dykstra
  • 5th Place Men – Breck Six

Rookie Division:

  • 3rd Place Ladies – Addison Van Haaften

Senior Division State Trap Championships

Junior Varsity Division:

  • Team Champions – Zach Sytsma, Gerrit Meinders, Decker Uitermarkt, Maddux Heinen, Taylen Vincent
  • 4th Place Men – Zach Sytsma

Varsity Division:

  • 5th Place Men – Hunter Uitermarkt

Pella Christian will recognize all of the athletes that participated in the various state championship events during their Annual Fun Shoot & BBQ Fundraiser at the Marion County Sportsman Club in Knoxville on Saturday, June 28th. The Eagles Clay Target Team will next compete at the State Skeet Championships at the New Pioneer Clay Target Center in Waukee on Wednesday and Thursday.
