With the extreme temperatures expected this weekend, Knoxville cooling shelters will be open Saturday and Sunday.

The two centers are the Knoxville Public Library and the Knoxville Recreation Center and they will be open to the public during normal business hours. The rec center is open from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sunday and the library is open from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday. The rec center is located at 800 S Park Lane and the library is located at 213 E Montgomery St.
