Local musical artist Lucas Beebe will kick off the inaugural Ken Locke Stadium Summer Concert Series this Saturday.

A full-time singer/guitarist since 2013, Beebe plays more than 100 shows a year across the Midwest. Beebe’s show is the first in the concert series, organized by the Knoxville Alumni Association. Happy Endings will perform on Friday, July 18th, followed by “Along the Way” fundraising show with Jason Brown and friends on Saturday, August 30th. Gates will open for Saturday’s show at 6:00 pm and the concert will start at 7. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 and tickets on the day of the show are $20. Today is the last day to buy advance tickets and do so online here or by visiting Candi’s Flowers or The Coffee Connection.

The concert will include concessions with pop, beer, seltzers, candy, popcorn and there will be food trucks from Dinky Donuts and Ain’t No B.S. BBQ. Proceeds from the event will support the initiative to construct a community venue and continue the restoration and enhancements to Knoxville’s historic Ken Locke Stadium. Fans are welcome to bring blankets, clear bags/purses, bag chairs, and rain ponchos. Not allowed are weapons/knives, umbrellas, pets, coolers, cups, bottles, bags/purses that are not clear, or beverages of any kind. Ken Locke Stadium is a “substance free” and “no smoking or vaping” facility.
