
The Norwalk baseball team extended its winning streak to four games on Thursday night with a 7-2 victory at Winterset. The Warriors improved to 10-8 overall, breaking the game open on Colton Moore’s two-out, three-RBI double in the top of the fifth.
Ryan Jones went 2-for-4 with a double and one run scored for Norwalk. Cole Wardlow and Eli Benschoter both added a single and one RBI. Garrett Geurink started on the mound and worked 4 ⅔ innings for the win, striking out six and allowing two runs.
The Warriors return to Little Hawkeye Conference play tonight with a doubleheader at Pella starting at 5:00 p.m. Game two will be streamed live on kniakrls.com (KNIA3). The Norwalk softball team also travels to Pella for a varsity doubleheader at 5:30. Game two can be heard on 92.1 KRLS.
