The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams picked up sweeps on the road at ACGC Thursday night in West Central Conference doubleheaders.

The #2 ranked Trojan baseball team defeated the Chargers 13-3 in five innings in game one and 12-1 in five innings in game two. In game one Luke Vestal got the win on the mound pitching all five innings just giving up one earned run on four hits. Logan Roff, Braylon Bingham and JJ Phillips all had two hits a piece in game one. In game two, Caylor Jones was the winning pitcher going all five innings giving up one earned run on five hits and recorded five strikeouts. In game two Braylon Bingham, Logan Roff, Brayden Kennedy, Easton Cox, and Luke Vestal all had two hits a piece. The Pleasantville baseball team improves to 19-0 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday to resume a suspended game against Des Moines Christian. 

The Trojan softball team won game one over the Chargers 8-0 and game two 10-4. In game one, Kally Wysong, Harper McGraw, Lainey Kennedy, and Emily Roe all had two hits as the Trojans had ten total as a team. Kennedy got the win in the circle recording seven strikeouts. In game two, Wysong, Taylor Perkins, and Kyleigh McConnell had two hit games as eight different Trojans recorded hits for a team total of 11. Kennedy pitched the first five innings and then Wysong came to close out the game for the last two innings. The Trojan softball team improves to 10-6 overall and will next compete on Saturday at the West Marshall Rose Festival Tournament.
