The Twin Cedars Summer Sports Squads were involved in twin 5-3 results, but the baseball Sabers were the ones that came out on top of their decision. Twin Cedars came from behind in the late innings to beat Murray on Thursday. In the 6th, the Sabers tied the game on a double by Brandon Puyear and a single by Brock Micetich, then in the 7th Twin Cedars took the lead on a Holden Roberts single, then Puyear doubled each scoring a run. Puyear got the win going the distance scattering six hits, walking just one and striking out six. The softball Sabers would get on the board in the top of the 4th with a hit by Currency Blom and RBI singles by Layla McCarty and Alli Reed. The Mustangs would respond with one of their own in the bottom and the scoring would stop until the top of the 7th where the Sabers would get a run and bring the tying run to the plate. Blom and Cristen Durian both went 2/3 while Alli Reed was 2/4 with an RBI. Both Saber squads take on Moulton-Udell tonight.
