Following a fantastic junior season for the Cardinals both on the track and overall, a Newton athlete will compete among the best in the country this weekend at the Nike Outdoor Nationals.

Caden Klein of Newton is running the circuit of sprinting events this weekend in Eugene, Oregon. Klein is running in the 100, 200, and 400 meter races. Find live results and his schedule here.

Klein was a multiple-time Elite All-State honoree from the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association, with the fastest time at the state meet in May in the 200 Meter Dash among all classes, and also earning the recognition in the 400 meter hurdles. Caden was a key athlete in Newton’s first-ever Class 3A team championship as well.
