A lack of storage in the Jasper County Treasurer’s Office is being addressed. The County Board of Supervisors have approved spending $11,285 to have custom cabinets built for the driver’s license and vehicle registration area of the Treasurer’s Office. Jasper County Maintenance Director Adam Sparks says there are boxes of license plates and office supplies laying on the floor and sitting out in the office, and he went to the provider of the cabinetry already therehe office to fix the problem.
“We have no storage over there and did not give them enough cabinet space to keep everything clean and contained. I went back to Architectural Arts because they originally built the current cabinets and everything will look exactly the same and everything will match up and line up.”
Architectural Arts is in Des Moines. Once the new cabinets are built, Sparks’ maintenance employees will install them.
