The Pella Public Library will continue its Outdoor Adventure Series by hosting Jackie Kilby and Hazel Bogaard on Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 pm.

During the event, Kilby and Bogaard will talk about their second walking adventure together, in which they hiked the Dingle Way in Ireland, and will share their experiences with those in attendance through photos and descriptions. They will also share how they planned and prepared for the trip, and what they encountered along the way. The Dingle Way, located in the south-western portion of Ireland, is one of the most popular long-distance walking trails in the country. It is a 112-mile circuit of the Dingle Peninsula, starting and ending in Tralee, the capital of Kerry. The landscapes are very diverse, including Mount Brandon, the Atlantic Ocean and farmland, along with many villages. The Dingle Way can be completed in 8-9 days with many places to stop along the way.

The program will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room and is free and open to the public. For questions about this or other upcoming events, contact the library at 641-628-4268.
