A Knoxville man has been arrested for a felony charge for alleged enticing of a minor for sexual purposes. 

According to court records, on February 24th, 2025, 34-year-old Jamie DeHeer of Knoxville was stopped by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office near the intersection of Circle Drive and Lake Drive. DeHeer was allegedly with a juvenile female under the age of 16. During the investigation, law enforcement learned that DeHeer met the female on social media, and agreed to pick her up. DeHeer told law enforcement that he showered with the juvenile female being able to observe him through a social media app before he went to pick her up.

During the investigation, DeHeer acknowledged that he and the juvenile female discussed having condoms in the vehicle. DeHeer acknowledged that sexual contact was a possibility, but law enforcement stopped the vehicle before they could go to any locations they discussed. DeHeer is charged with enticing a minor under the age of 16 for sexual purposes, which is a Class D felony and he is being held in the Marion County Jail.
