The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad got its game in against East Union in a 9-6 win while softball’s contest with East Union was suspended in the 3rd inning with the Saints leading 8-4. Baseball started slowly trailing 3-1 in the 2nd, but a five run 3rd inning gave the Saints control. Austin Remster, Evan Schrader, and Leo Schrader all got two hits with Evan Schrader driving in three runs. Softball, like the Baseball squad, got off to a slow start but were in the midst of a big inning when rain came to chase everyone away. Both Saints squads will now turn their focus to arch-rival Twin Cedars tonight.
