The Indianola Community Youth Foundation is hosting a series of Lunch and Learn Events throughout the summer, featuring different educational opportunities for kids and providing a chance to meet with friends for lunch. ICYF Executive Director Taylor Litchkey tells KNIA News the community loved the Lunch and Learn programs last year, and she immediately went into planning mode for this summer.

“We had such an amazing turnout I think I cried the first time I saw so many people coming. That’s part of planning a community event, you don’t know who or how many are going to come out and so to see such great numbers was incredible and we knew we needed to bring it back for 2025.”

The Lunch and Learn programs are each Wednesday, with today’s being held at the Pickard Park Shelter and focusing on Disc Golf, with a member of the Disc Golf Pro Tour speaking.
