Both of Knoxville’s Summer Sports Squads fell in their respective games on Tuesday with baseball losing to Grinnell 2-0 and softball falling to Chariton 11-0 on Panther Drive. The Baseball Panthers out hit Grinnell 3-2, but could not get any runs across. Grinnell scored a run each in the 1st and 4th innings. Getting hits for Knoxville was Lincoln Norris with two and Brenden Woolsey with one. On Panther drive, the softball Panthers were also held to just two hits while Chariton collected nine. Ayla Williams and Macy Cox delivered the two hits for Knoxville. Baseball is now 13-8 while softball is 1-14. Both head to Eldon today to play Cardinal.
