The Pella softball team earned a non-conference victory on the road Tuesday, defeating Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in a 7-2 game shortened in the 7th inning due to lightning in the area.

The Dutch scored first in the top of the 1st and took a lead they wouldn’t give to the home team Rockets. Katie Scheckel was 3-for-4 with two doubles and Lucy Carlson was 2-for-4 with a 2B and three RBI to lead the Dutch lineup. Saige DeJong kept EBF in check, giving up two runs in six innings to earn the win in the circle.
