The Newton School District expects to spend around $230,000 on new food service equipment as part of the renovation and addition project at Aurora Heights Elementary School. That estimate includes furnishing the equipment and installing it, and was provided to the Newton School Board by FRK Architects and Engineers of West Des Moines. The Newton School District is currently accepting bids on the specified equipment, with the bid deadline set at 10 a.m. on July 8th.  That’s also when the bids will be opened, and the information provided to the public.

At the next Newton School Board meeting on Monday, July 14th, the board will hold a public hearing for the food service equipment purchase at Aurora Heights Elementary and consider approving a bid. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the EJH Beard Administration Center at 1302 First Avenue East.
