The Pleasantville softball team defeated Des Moines Christian on the road Wednesday night as the baseball team blew out Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at home.

The Trojan softball team picked up a 5-4 win over the Lions in a West Central Conference matchup. Lainey Kennedy was the winning pitcher as she threw all seven innings giving up seven hits, four runs, and recorded one strikeout. Offensively Lillian Mason and Kally Wysong both had two hit games as the Trojans had seven total hits as a team. The Pleasantville softball team improves to 13-7 overall.

The #2 ranked Trojan baseball team won their contest against the Rockets 16-1. Luke Vestal got the win on the mound pitching four innings just giving up one hit and had seven strikeouts. Offensively Braylon Bingham went 2-2 at the plate with a triple and three RBI, JJ Phillips went 1-3 with a double and five RBI, and Easton Cox went 1-2 with three RBI. The Trojan baseball team improves to 21-1 on the season.

The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams will host Woodward-Granger tonight in conference doubleheaders.
