This week’s Thursdays in Pella activities, with the theme Ag in the City, were cancelled due to weather that rolled through the area. 

While most of the activities planned Thursday were cancelled, the Lil’ Miss Firecracker and Mr. America contest were still held in the Pella Memorial Building, with Lennox Williams and Isaac Altena being named as this year’s winners. They will participate in next week’s City of Pella 4th of July parade. The theme of the final four Thursdays in Pella in July include Milestone Mania on the 10th, Recreation Nation on the 17th, Wild West on the 24th, and Creature Feature on the 31st. There will be no festivities on July 3rd in observance of Independence day.
