Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings impacted south central Iowa on Thursday, ending a busy weather week across the area. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air with live coverage from 4:30 to just after 6 p.m. for severe thunderstorm warnings that impacted Jasper and Warren Counties, which included multiple updates from Weatherology meteorologists. Additional rainfall amounts of 1/2″ to 1 1/2″ were reported across many south central Iowa communities. Drier conditions will exist through most of the weekend, although more rain chances return late Sunday into Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
