The City of Newton has renewed a one year marketing and advertising contract with Bing Bang Marketing in Waukee. Over the past year, the agency has been promoting Newton and operating a “Get to Know Newton” website. Mayor Evelyn George believes Bing Bang has done a good job of telling Newton’s story, and the stories of many of its residents. 

“If you are on social media at all, you have seen videos with some key people in our community. Whether that be a business owner, someone related to the school, our new YMCA Director, really sharing that story about why they enjoy living in Newton and what they find so special about it.”

The City of Newton’s contract with Bing Bang for the fiscal year starting July 1st is for $73,900. The start up contract that was approved in May of last year was for $91,720.
