After a week off to allow many of the drivers to run at the Husets High Bank Nationals or elsewhere last week, the Knoxville Raceway is back for the stretch drive of the summer leading up to the Knoxville Nationals which is just over a month away. Tonight is a weekly event with all three sprint car classes running. At right around the halfway point of the season it is getting more evident of who is the driver to beat in each class. Austin McCarl started to widen his gap in the 410s. As long as he is in town on Saturdays he will look to build upon his 158 point lead over Brown Brown. Tasker Phillips’s lead in the 360s has grown to 206 over Clint Garner and J Kinder has a virtual stranglehold on the Pro Sprints at 438 over Tyler Thompson.
