The Norwalk baseball team was shut out on four hits at Dallas Center-Grimes on Friday night, losing a 3-0 decision to the Mustangs.

DC-G scored two runs in the first and one in the third off Warrior starting pitcher Garrett Geurink, who battled his command during 2 ⅓ innings. Eli Benschoter pitched 3 ⅔ scoreless innings of relief, striking out four.

Norwalk’s Xavier Bush doubled in his only official at-bat and also drew a walk. Colton Moore, Cole Wardlow and Rhylee Schmidt each added a single.

The Warriors dropped to 11-12 overall and 8-8 in Little Hawkeye Conference play. They will play a non-conference game at Ankeny Centennial on Monday night.
