The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad had to hold on to preserve the win over Lynnville-Sully on Monday night. The Saints held a 7-4 lead going into the 7th inning but the Hawks scored three runs to get to within one. The Saints overcame six errors in the field as Hayden Branson had three hits to lead the way for the Saints. Gabby Overgaard and Kesley Reed drove in two runs, each. Lotty Nolte got the win striking out six and walking just one. Melcher-Dallas will travel to arch-rival Twin Cedars on Wednesday.
