The Pleasantville baseball team defeated PCM at home Tuesday night in Class 2A Substate 6 action.

The Mustangs scored one run in the top of the first inning and then the Trojans scored 11 unanswered runs to pick up an 11-1 win in six innings. Braylon Bingham was the winning pitcher for Pleasantville going five innings giving up no earned runs, four hits and had ten strikeouts. Offensively for the Trojans, Brayden Kennedy had three hits with a double and three RBI, Easton Cox had three hits and an RBI, Brody Adreon had two hits and three RBI, and Logan Roff had two hits and two RBI.

Offensively for the Mustangs, Coby DeRaad went 2-3 with a run and Kaleb DeVries, Trigg Steenhoek, and Shay Burns each had a hit in the contest. PCM ends their 2025 season with a 9-14 overall record. Pleasantville improves to 28-1 overall and will next compete on Saturday night when they will host Grand View Christian in a substate semifinal matchup.  

The Pleasantville softball team will host Exira-EHK-Audubon tonight in their first postseason matchup starting at 7:00 pm.
