The Volksweg Trail is now closed from the Marina Cove entrance road to the Wallashuck Campground entrance road intersection as work continues on degraded sections of the trail. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminds visitors to continue to stay aware of closure notices posted at trailheads and adhere to all barricades and signs. Degraded asphalt is being removed and concrete will be installed in its place.
