The PCM softball team defeated Southeast Valley in the opening round of Class 3A Region 4 play at home on Thursday.

The #4 ranked Mustangs picked up an 8-0 win over the Jaguars in five innings to advance in their bracket. Rylee Parsons pitched 2 ⅓ innings giving up three hits, no runs and three strikeouts and Camden Webb pitched 2 ⅔ innings giving up no hits, no runs, and had six strikeouts. Offensively Libby Winters went 2-3 with two runs, a triple and three RBI, Hadley Millang went 2-3 with three RBI, Addison Steenhoek went 2-3 with a run and a double, and Addie Hudnut went 1-1 with two runs, a hit by pitch, a home run, and an RBI.

The Mustangs improve to 23-4 overall and will now host Greene County on Saturday night in the regional semifinals.
