Yesterday, we told you about Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas baseball players that made all-Bluegrass Conference. Today…we spotlight the softball players from both schools. The Sabers Girls of Summer who got recognition.was on the 1st team…Alli Reed. She led the Sabers with 21 hits with a 344 batting average. Also on the 1st team was Cristen Durian. Durian was 2nd on the team with 19 hits and had the second most RBIs with 13. Earning Honorable Mention was Ami Mockenhaupt. For Melcher-Dallas on the first team was Hayden Branson and Gabby Overgaard. Branson was 2nd on the team with 24 hits and had a .329 batting average. Overgaard was the team’s best hitter, 25 hits, two home runs, 21 RBI, and a .431 batting average. On the 2nd team was Lotty Nolte and Kesley Reed and earning honorable mention was Ashlyn Metz. The Saints finished with a 9-12 record and 5-7 in the Bluegrass Conference. Twin Cedars finished 4-21 and 4-8 in the Bluegrass Conference.
