The Indianola baseball team had their season come to a close Wednesday night falling 1-0 in the substate final round against Iowa City High.
The Indians will graduate a senior class of two, and looking ahead to future seasons shows the Indians with great depth on the pitching mound. Indianola will bring back their three starts from postseason play in George Blake, Asher Brueck, and Bryant Ritchie, all of whom had an ERA below 1.15, as well as other underclassman starters Taten Atkin and Jackson Foust. Head coach Nathan Carlin said the Indians relied on good pitching all season long, and he expects that to continue in the future.
The Indians had a 32-6 record on the season.
