Mainline paving on a 1.5-mile asphalt replacement project west of Oakland Acres is now underway. The Jasper County Road Department says the work on East 125th Street North also includes a small section of North 39th Avenue East, from East 125th Street North west to the end of the previous pavement. The County Road Department expects the paving to be completed, weather permitting, by this Wednesday, July 23rd. Shoulder work and pavement markings will then follow. If the weather allows, the Jasper County Road Department expects the project to be completed, and the roads re-opened, around August 8th.
