A thunderstorm late Sunday evening prompted a warning and brought a significant amount of rainfall over Warren County. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for a warning impacting the northern portion of Warren County, which included three staff members and a Weatherology meteorologist update.
The significant amount of rain from the slow moving storm did not prompt severe damage reports, however the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for that area that expired early Monday morning.
Many areas that have recently received heavy rainfall took in more precipitation, with overnight radar estimates indicating at least several inches in some areas more of moisture fell in portions of Marion and Warren Counties over the weekend. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air with live coverage for severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in Marion, Warren, and Jasper Counties.
