The Knoxville City Council heard a presentation regarding the new city public safety/city hall building at their meeting Monday Night.

The presentation was done by Wendel Architects Director of Emergency Services Robert Krzyzanowski. The presentation covered the project history, design development, cost estimate and next steps. The total cost of the project will be between $16.1-$17.4 Million. Also at the meeting the council approved a notice to bidders and ordered bids for the public safety building project, the purchase of Amkus rescue tools for the Knoxville Fire Department, and there was a mayoral reading of a National Parks and Recreation Month proclamation.

The meeting closed with the council entering into closed session regarding litigation.
