Heat and humid conditions will only ratchet up today across the region. A Heat Advisory is in effect this afternoon and evening. Daytime highs in the low-to-mid 90s, coupled with dew points in the mid-70s, will have heat index values well into the mid-100s today.

This comes after the KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for multiple warnings in Warren and Jasper Counties on Tuesday. Multiple pop-up thunderstorms impacted many local communities, and periodic rain chances will continue through the end of the work week.
