The final full day of the 2025 Jasper County Fair was held on Wednesday.

Festivities on the last day of the 170th annual Fair included the market beef show, the rabbit show, the livestock judging contest, and the bucket and bottle calf show. Other activities that were held on Wednesday were dodgeball, the Farm Bureau Watermelon Feed, the State Fair meeting, a movie night, and a teen dance. Jasper County Fair President Jim Soppe said he thought this year’s Fair was another great event, in spite of some challenging weather conditions.

“Under the circumstances, I thought it went pretty well. You know, mother nature threw us a curve ball a couple different ways, but we have a good Fair Board here that was on top of things and we were getting after things when we had some water issues and we’re prepared for that. And now we’re dealing with some warm weather, which is to be expected in July, and it’s been good. I think it’s one people are going to remember for a little while.”
