Claiming the number ten spot for the PCM top sports stories of the 2024-2025 school year is Kaleb DeVries striking out 14 batters in a substate win over East Marshall in the last start of his career.

PCM picked up the 3-0 win at James W. Cownie Park in Des Moines scoring runs in the first, third, and fifth innings to secure the win after DeVries shut down the East Marshall bats all game. DeVries only gave up one hit pitching 6 ⅔ innings and recorded four walks with the 14 strikeouts. DeVries has been a key contributor for the Mustang baseball team over the last couple of seasons and had a successful athletic career for PCM as a multi-sport student athlete.
