Martin Marietta has made a $5,000 contribution to Stepping Stones Early Learning Center for their capital campaign.
Stepping Stones Early Learning Center has continued to accept donations from local community members and businesses in effort to pay off the remaining balance of the center’s mortgage.
“Being able to pay off the center’s mortgage would allow us to allocate our funds to where they matter the most, improvements in the classrooms for our smallest citizens and to our dedicated staff members. We’re grateful Martin Marietta supports our mission here at the center and we’re fortunate to have them in our community.” says Stepping Stones board treasurer Stephanie Law.
A representative from the company says Martin Marietta is proud to have the opportunity to support local non-profit organizations in the communities in which we operate. Martin Marietta’s Durham Mine has been a long-time member of the Knoxville community and has recognized Stepping Stones Early Learning Center and their mission as one that aligns with their principles and values. Stepping Stones says they are glad to know that their donation will be used to pay down the mortgage so future funds can be allocated directly to the children.
Those interested in making a donation to their cause, a donation link can be found on their web page or checks can be mailed to Stepping Stones Early Learning Center 300 Panther Drive Knoxville, Iowa, 50138.
