Counting down the top 10 sports stories of the year for Indianola High School, continuing with #6.
The Indianola girls track and field team came into 2025 with high expectations, boasting a young squad with plenty of varsity experience and involvement in competitions at the Drake Blue Oval.
Those expectations were lived up to, with a dominating 177 point performance in the Little Hawkeye Conference competition with six individual titles, then a fourth place finish at the State Track and Field meet, including a state championship by Josie McGraw in the 400m Hurdles.
The Indians lost an impactful senior class of 12, but bring back the majority of their state meet experience from the past two seasons next year.
