The #6 moment of Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars is the annual football game between the two schools. It is not a shock that this is one of the great small school rivalries in the state and it lived up to its billing on September 20th as after a year away, Melcher-Dallas reclaimed the Marion County Eight-Man title in a 32-30 victory. The game started slowly for both teams as Melcher-Dallas led at halftime 12-6, but scoring picked up in the 2nd half and Twin Cedars outscored the Saints 24-20 with the Saints surviving a Hail Mary pass to the end zone as time expired. The Saints out-gained the Sabers 334-248. Saints quarterback Brody Johnson was 7/22 for 160 yards and three touchdowns. The Saints lead the all-time series 20-12, Melcher-Dallas would go on to finish the season 2-8.
