The Indianola girls soccer team qualified to state for the first time in program history this spring, earning a shutout victory against Council Bluffs Jefferson in the regional semifinals, then going on the road to upset Lewis Central 2-1 in the regional final.
The Indians then matched up against #1 undefeated Waverly-Shell Rock in the quarterfinal round, scoring the second goal against the Go-Hawks all season long. The young Indians squad graduates only a senior class of four under first year head coach Mike Wilson.
