Coming off a state title this summer, the Pleasantville baseball team will bring back their entire roster next year.
The Trojans, who finished the regular season with a 30-1 overall record and defeated West Lyon, Chariton, and Unity Christian in the state tournament to bring home the school’s first baseball state championship, are still fairly young. The lineup the Trojans used in the state championship game consisted of one freshman, four sophomores, and five juniors. Among those Pleasantville had four all-state players in Braylon Bingham who was the Class 2A captain and a member of the IHSBCA super team, Brayden Kennedy and Logan Roff who were first team selections, and JJ Phillips who was a second team selection. Among those four, only Roff will be a senior next year.
The Trojans finished with a 33-1 overall record.
