After a fourth place finish at the state tournament this year, the PCM softball team will bring back almost their entire roster next year.

The Mustangs will only graduate one senior in Addison Steenhoek who will be a hard player to replace as she has been a staple of the PCM softball program the last several years and was a second team all-state selection this year, first team all-conference, and all-district, along with academic all-state. Libby Winters, Camden Webb, and Rylee Parsons who were first team all-state selections will all be back next year. Winters, Webb, and Parsons were also all-district players along with all-conference.

PCM will also return first team all-conference selection Tori Lindsay, second team selections Kyra Naeve and Lilian Humpal, and honorable mention selections Hadley Millang and Addison Hudnut. The Mustangs walked off West Liberty in the opening round of the state softball tournament and then fell to Wahlert Catholic and Albia in the consolation bracket.

The Mustangs stayed ranked in the top five almost all season and finished with a 26-6 overall record. In 2025 PCM also broke the school record for batting average, fielding percentage, on base percentage, hit by pitches, and doubles.
