Following one of the most successful academic years in program history, the Dutch fall sports teams are set for another journey beginning today.
Practice begins for the Pella football, volleyball, and cross country teams, with competition ramping up for the newest fall sport on Tuesday. The No. 2 ranked Dutch girls tennis team opens in Knoxville, just over two months removed from placing 2nd in the Class 1A state team tournament in the final spring season. A seven-team invitational begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts in Knoxville.
The other fall teams are still a few weeks away from competition, but Activities Director Matt Fouch looks forward to all students returning to action soon. Fouch will be featured on Wednesday’s edition of “Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page.”
