The new leader at Jefferson Intermediate School is excited to take another step in his lifelong journey in the Pella Community School District. From student to teacher to coach to administrator, Blaine Forsythe has spent most of his time associated with his hometown district, and now, he’s leading the facility housing the community’s 4th through 6th grade students. Forsythe looks forward to the opportunity to further establish opportunities for the kids in the hallways at Jefferson and the teachers and staff that will guide them.

“I’m super fortunate to be in this position, and to have all of the great leaders that mentored me to be in this position,” he says. “I’m just really excited to lead our staff — we have a lot of new staff and new people in new roles, which makes for a fun and a challenging start to the school year. I’m just really excited for what’s ahead.”

New student orientation at Jefferson Intermediate School will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. this afternoon, with 4th grade orientation taking place next Wednesday the 20th. Hear more about Forsythe and Jefferson Intermediate School on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
